Demonstrate that you are a needed resource, but not desperate for a job. Make sure that your answers, even when you are talking about yourself, focus on what the employer needs. (This can take some practice.) The employer is looking for someone who adds value to his or her organization, not someone who might turn into a problem or who simply wants the job to make a living. They want someone who cares about what they want. You’ll have to show them that you are that person.
